- These terms and conditions, together with any other written information brought to your attention before we confirm your booking, shall form the basis of your contract with Glenlivet Hill Trek (‘us’, ‘we’, or the ‘Company’) in respect of the relevant tour or other holiday experience (together referred to in these terms and conditions as ‘tours’) to be provided by the Company. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and contact us if you have any queries. Within these conditions, ‘you’ and ‘your’ means all persons named on the booking. By making a booking, the ‘lead passenger’ specified in the booking will be deemed to have accepted these conditions on behalf of all passengers named within the booking.

- We endeavour to ensure that the information and prices in our brochures and on our website, are accurate, however occasionally changes and errors occur and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in such circumstances. You should check the current price and all other details relating to the arrangements that you wish to book before your booking is made. All tours are sold subject to availability.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
2.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law and any matter or claim arising from them shall be dealt with only the Scottish Courts.
2.2 The terms of these terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract (the ‘Contract’) between you, (‘the Client’) and Glenlivet Hill Trek (‘the Company’).
2.3 No failure or delay by Glenlivet Hill Trek in enforcing any of its rights under the Contract shall be deemed to be a waiver of such right.
Booking Process
3.1 Bookings can be made via our website, Facebook, by telephone or by contacting us my email at Glenlivethilltrek@googlemail.com
3.2 Your booking is not confirmed until we have issued your booking confirmation. At that point, a binding contract will be entered into between us. A booking confirmation will only issued once we have received full or part payment from you as indicated in these terms and conditions. We cannot be held responsible if any tour in which you are interested becomes fully booked or otherwise unavailable prior to payment being received from you.
3.3 If you wish to make a private tour booking then please contact us to discuss your requirements further.
Tours and Pricing
4.1 Shared group tours and bespoke private tours are priced, quoted and sold inclusive of all admission fees, tastings, tours and meals unless expressly stated on the tour itinerary.
4.2 Private Bespoke tours may incur an arrangement fee and payment of non refundables to cover non refundable outlays such as Distillery Tours etc
Payments
5.1 For shared group tours and individually booked experiences full payment is due on confirmation of booking, unless an alternative plan is agreed.
5.2 For private bespoke tours 50% deposit must be paid on confirmation of booking and the balance due must be received 14 days prior to the start of your tour. For bookings made less than 14 days before the start of your tour the full amount is due to secure your booking.
5.3 For Corporate bookings full payment is due on confirmation of booking.
5.4 Glenlivet Hill Trek reserves the right to recalculate pricing due to fluctuations in the market between the time a fully costed itinerary is issued and the deposit paid.
5.5 Glenlivet Hill Trek requires payments to be made by international /national bank transfer or card.
5.6 Payment of deposit or full payment will constitute as acceptance of Glenlivet Hill Trek Terms and Conditions.
Cancellations and Changes By Glenlivet Hill Trek
6.1 Glenlivet Hill Trek reserves the right to cancel any scheduled tour, or event at any time. In such circumstances you will be entitled to a full reimbursement for any amount received of you may transfer to an alternative activity of same value at no additional cost.
6.2 Glenlivet Hill Trek reserves the right to replace scheduled itinerary visits and tours with a suitable replacement. If for whatever reason a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, a refund for this part of the tour will be issued.
Client Cancellations & Refund Policy
7.1 Please note that all Clients cancelling any booking will be charged with a standard fee of 30% per person of the booking fee to cover administration costs in addition to a fee for any additional non refundable outlays incurred by us such as Distillery tours etc
7.2 For all tours (including shared group, Private bespoke and Corporate Tours)
Cancellation more than 30 days before the tour date – full refund less administration fee and any outlays (subject to non-refundable/cancellation supplier costs).
Cancellation between 30 -14 days – 50% refund of full amount paid, less administration fee and any outlays (subject to non-refundable/cancellation supplier costs).
Cancellation less than 14 days before departure – No Refund or Transfer
Substitute Representatives
8.1 A substitute can attend in your place providing Glenlivet Hill Trek has had details 7 days before activity begins (subject to the terms of any third party supplier agreements). You will need to provide us with the names, any dietary requirements and contact details of anyone attending in your place. Some of our tours are unsuitable for those under the age of 18 years.
Tour Departures
9.1 We advise that clients must arrive at their selected departure point 15 minutes prior to the published departure time. Arrival in time for tours departing and finding the departure point is the sole responsibility of the Client. No refund will be issued for missed departures.
Liability
10.1 You are advised not to bring any items of special value along to Glenlivet Hill Trek events, activities or tours. The Company will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal possessions.
10.2 Glenlivet Hill Trek will not be liable for any loss or injury suffered by you resulting from any activity which is beyond the direct control of the Company.
Special Requests
11.1 Any special requests should be advised to us at the time of booking. Whilst we will try to accommodate your reasonable special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled and failure to meet any special request will not be a breach of contract on our part.
Disabilities and Medical Problems
12.1 We will try to accommodate disabilities and medical problems where we can but please be aware that many of our tours may not be suitable. If you or any member or you party has any disability or medical problem which may affect their ability to travel on our tour then please provide us with full details at the time of making your booking enquiry, so that we can advise you as to the suitability of your chosen arrangements.
Children
13.1 We regret that we do not carry children under the age of 10 years on our tours. Otherwise, child prices will vary depending on the relevant tour.
Smoking
14.1 Smoking is not permitted in vehicles or on hillside.
Complaints
15.1 We actively welcome your feedback, both in respect of our own services and those provided by other suppliers. In the event that you have any complaint during the course of your tour then please bring this to the attention of your driver or tour guide as soon as possible and we will endeavour to resolve the matter to your satisfaction.
Data Protection
16.1 To process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly, we will need to use the personal information which you provide to us. We will not, however, pass your information on to anyone who is not involved in providing any product or service related to your booking.
